School Plan Priorities 2008-2009

Our annual school plan for continuous improvement is developed, refined, monitored and reviewed each year to address the board’s three priority areas, which are: Curriculum Implementation & Student Learning, Parent/Community Involvement and School Climate. Below is a listing of the overall priorities/ focus areas for the 2008-2009 school year at Ramer Wood Public School. The staff and students will be focusing our energy, resources, professional development and efforts in the following areas:

Ø Case Management Approach to support our ‘At-risk’ learners in Reading

2. Community/Parental Involvement Priority-

Ø Parental/Community Involvement with Reading Comprehension Strategies through home support

Ø Increased volunteerism in all areas of school life to support our literacy focus

3. School Climate Priority-

Ø Providing a Safe & Supportive Learning environment for all Ramer Wood community members through Character Matters
