MISSION STATEMENT

At Ramer Wood Public School we strive to provide a safe, caring and challenging environment where all individuals are encouraged and supported to be self-motivated, self-directed problem solvers in order to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be responsible, contributing Canadian citizens.

SCHOOL HOURS

            2008/2009 TIMETABLE

Balanced Day Model– 3 blocks of 100 minutes each which will be divided into various periods. Ex. 2X40min +1X20min or 1X60 min+1X40 min, depending on subject and grade level. Each class will receive their own customized timetable in September.

 Entry Bell 8:45 a.m.

Block One                             Start Time 8:45 a.m.            Periods 1-3  100 minutes in total End Time10:25 a.m.                  

Recess 10:25 a.m. -10:55 a.m.          

30 minutes in length

Block Two                              Start Time 10:55 a.m.          Periods 4-6  100 minutes in total  End Time  12:35 p.m.  

Lunch  12:35 p.m.- 01:35 p.m.        

60 minutes in length

Block Three                            Start Time 1:35 p.m.          Periods 7-9  100 minutes in total  End Time  3:15 p.m.

Text Box: Total amount of instructional time per day is 300 minutes. (Half Day Kindergarten is 150 minutes per day) Total number of instructional days is 190 per school year.
